I can offer an outside, fresh perspective in complex family transitions and difficult conversations. I facilitate as needed on a short-term basis, bringing my psychotherapy training, mediation skills and life experience to bear.
If your think your own psychotherapy is stagnant, or you have found yourself in a transformation or trauma-resolution process that has gone off the rails, I will help you find your bearings. I work with you short-term to reset, or move on and find appropriate referrals. I adore deep change work, and I also love matchmaking between the person and the process that is right for them at this moment.
Another way I can help in is when there is friction between spiritual practice and psychological health. These situations might include an unhealthy relationship with a teacher, mentor, or guru, something difficult that arose on a silent retreat, or during to the therapeutic use of psychedelic drugs.
I also consult with colleagues who want to brainstorm about referrals, offering my broad knowledge base, extensive network, original thinking, and willingness to research what is out there. I have also helped journalists, writers, and creatives in all walks of life with psychological, family system, or child-development issues in their work. Consultations can include advice and recommendations.
To make these consultations accessible, the self-scheduled first-time appointment is currently $100, found on the CONTACT page.
Miven is the most ‘space creating’ person I have ever encountered. Her capacity to hold vast, contradictory elements of life with honest curiosity and non judgmental attention is extraordinary. This special gift of hers has done more to heal me than words can say.
